Paws of War is a nonprofit that supports veterans, first responders, and the animals who stand beside them. Programs include training rescued dogs as service dogs; rescuing dogs and cats saved by U.S. troops overseas and reuniting them with their handlers; international rescue missions to save animals from war zones and dangerous conditions; a mobile clinic offering free veterinary care; assistance securing pet‑friendly housing for veterans; care for retired military working dogs; therapy dog programs; and emergency foster care when veterans are hospitalized. Through these efforts, Paws of War strengthens bonds between service members and animals, promotes recovery and resilience, and finds safety and loving homes for rescue animals.
